Lightning Boltz Strike Hard  

Saturday, July 27^th, Bridgetown, Barbados – The Yellow Lightning Boltz continued their triumph when the Grantley Adams International Airport Inc. (GAIA Inc.) held its corporate Fun Day.              

They beat last year’s winners, the Green Grenades, into second place. The Red Fire Blazers placed third and the Blue Vikings placed fourth.

The Yellow team came into the day’s event with the most points which they had accumulated in previous weeks after winning the dominoes, Hearts and Road Tennis competitions.

While they got off to a slow start on Saturday with the least amount of persons showing for the Parade, the team picked up speed throughout the day winning the Cricket, Apple eating and Tug-o-War competitions which all carried a maximum of twenty (20) points. They also won some of the track & field events.

The day’s events were very competitive among the teams. The Green Grenades won the opening parade. The Red Fire Blazers and the Blue Viking teams also had a good showing during numerous events.
